It's great we are all different! I love strong, spicy and bitter tasting foods, like bitter cabbage, chicory leaves, black coffee, blue cheese, strong red wine and yes pickles!!! I once heard/read that our food choices are genetic or something (no doubt there is a 'type' test somewhere). I am partial to a cheese toasty though (but with lots of worcestershire or tabasco sauce in it)

Welsh rarebit - mmm - i'm talking myself into it. A nice bit of cheese, Lancashire is best imo and some English mustard, plenty of Worcestor sauce, a couple of egg yolks and if you add some stout to the mix will result in a dish fit for a king - the toasted bread should be thick and crusty. I'm now starving. Btw rawkaren, I think Izzy is right - I love all the food you mentioned!!
I need to stop drooling right now. The kitchen is closed and I'm on a fast day
At Peterborough Autumn Show today I came across a stall selling a wonderful selection of olives, including your recommended kalamata. The two friendly chaps gave me one to taste and it was yummy so bought some!
I also found a great cheese stall and bought a chunk of Wensleydale with lemon that is fab.
Some cappuccino fudge also found it's way into my bag :0)
A good day all round.

I cooked the baked chicken recipe from this thread again with lemons and olive parsley garlic stuffing. Thanks agin for that. Ooh azureblue sounds like a good taste test. The thought of that cheese at the start on a fast day torture too early

Fudge. Who mentioned Fudge???
Fudge is to me, what Toast is to @Ballerina ...
And as for Wensleydale ...
But no fried egg baps @azureblue??
Well I'll put anything in my mouth, which is mainly why I'm here. My fav are anchovy stuffed olives, so moorish, agree heartily with all the above olive lourvers, keep trying em.
Wow! impressive, never came across anchovies stuffed into olives but have a feeling I would love them!
I love anchovies, particularly added into pasta sauces, a little goes a long way, but it does add a piquancy and deepening of flavour to loads of stuff like casseroles etc.

Agree there dhana it really improves most pasta sauces along with adding oregano

Funnily enough I thought I had gone there to coo over brushed up sheep and insanely fluffy rabbits but the food hall rather grabbed me by the lapels. Egg mayo sandwich onboard not withstanding.
And I have had the merest tad of fudge as I nobly handed it over to OH to wolf down.
Hoping he leaves me a bit for tomorrow :0)
