Feeling a little wobbly
21 Mar 2013, 14:01
Hi all,
Today is my 3rd fast and I am feeling a little light headed and wobbly. It is now just after lunch time. I am not experiencing as much hunger as I did on my first 2 fasts, but this light headed feeling I did not get on the first 2 times.

My last fast was only 2 days ago, so I have only had 1 feed day between fasts - could this be the reason? I ate the same 200cal breakfast today that I ate on the previous 2 occasions - mushroom, spinach & tomato ommlete made with 1 whole egg & 2 egg whites with 1tsp olive oil.

Sorry that you are not feeling great and I hope that you will get over this blip in yout fasting day. I have seen this mentioned a number of times in various places on this forum and suggest that you use the 'Search' box to look for help. Sorry that I can't help you myself but it's not something that I have experienced.

Stella, I found that I was not drinking enough in my first few weeks and that was having a terrible effect on how I was feeling.

I have actually started making sure that I have a Berocca drink on my fast days (I do have them most days tba. At 5 cals you do need to factor them in, but they have enough vitamins and minerals in them to compensate for the lack of eating.

This way I find I feel much better throughout the day and my headaches and feeling a bit off in the afternoon seems to goes away.

hope this helps.

I'm a great fan of Berocca too, but have never taken it on fast days. I use it when i'm doing stupidly long working days, heavy work and liable to overheat.
I find fasting with only one day in between harder than if it' s more spread out.
If you are keeping your fluid intake up,and getting adequate minerals and salts (too much water can act actually dehydrate you) perhaps think about spacing your fasts slightly further apart. The good thing about this way of eating is the flexibility. Play about with how you do it and you'll find a way that suits you.

Thanks guys, I had planned to space out my fasts a little more - the plan was to fast Monday & Thursday, but last Monday was my daughters birthday so I moved the fast to Tuesday. Friday is not a good fast day as it is my Welcome the weekend day which involves a drink (or 3) in the evening!

I am fasting again today, and feeling a lot better than last week :)

I normally have my fast days with at least 2 days between. Yesterday I had fasted on Friday and was planning on today being my next fast but somehow Sunday was working out well for it as it was mid afternoon and I hadn't eaten. I did think I might even do a 3rd fast this week. All OK until I got to bed when I felt quite jittery and hyper and couldn't sleep. I was up and down to the loo all night and also got heartburn. Miserable night really but fine again now. Did wonder myself if it was with only having one day between fasts. Can't pin down anything else I did differently.

This is my fifth fast day, and I'm experiencing more hunger than the other times, plus feeling a bit wobbly also. Not sure why it would be different. I did put 1 tsp of sugar in my coffee (had previously been drinking without, but I just don't like it that way). I wonder if that's it...
