That kind of obsessive over eating that you describe may come from years or dieting. You become afraid that you aren't going to 'get enough' so you over eat to compensate. Not taking lunch to work would feed into that. Do not deprive yourself, Aina. Restrict calories on fast days and then relax and allow yourself to enjoy eating without guilt on the other days. You'll get there!
Thank you for the encouragement. Its a proces and journey. Its a fine line to dieting to eating disorder. So far I have managed to avoid it.

Struggling

What I really need to do is stop eating when I am full and do not need more food!! Wednesday was a non-fast day. I did not bring lunch to work as I would be leaving early. I was starving. I can handle the hunger pangs on a fast day but on a non-fast day I have to have food. I find it totally weird. So I ate an estimate of 250 calories. Then evening came when I had my meet up. I was good and was full after a plate and had a slice of cake. The guests left and I had another piece of cake. I was stuffed by then but I had a packet of chestnuts @ 200+ calories and a potatoe patty. I could have skipped the last 2 items and will not be hungry when I go to bed. At least chestnuts is a healthier choice in food.
So I really have to learn to control myself better. Not eat when I am full. I should listen to my body. The scales this morning says I am the same as what I was on Saturday morning so I am pleased. I had the water retention to get rid and not gain weight! I am fasting as compared to my normal Friday and will be weighing officially on Friday morning. I am pleased if I can maintain though I hope that next week will be a better week.
Since next week is an annual leave week, I will be doing long walks every single day and probably only fast 2 days or even take a break from it.
