A purchaser with too much time on her hands

Week 2

by Aina on 04 Jun 2013, 09:17

Third day fast is over on Friday and then it’s was the weekend. I do not plan to fast weekends as I am around the family and they want me to cook and do motherly things.

I did manage to walk home from the event on Friday, even taking a longer route so that I had 1 hour walk in total. I then kept myself busy and ate. I was starving so long walks while fasting is not a viable option for now. I do a short walk in the mornings and leave evenings free to do other things. I hope that it will change eventually when the body is more used to the fasting business.

We have the boat out now so there will be days where I will be picked up for a trip on it before I head home, those days will be take out days. I must say spending the day out in the fresh air and sun is really tiring. I was not starving or anything, I actually bought a salad for my lunch. Coming home means I ate and went to bed early. The day was spent by moving and using my body. I am not much of an eater at home, I tend to lose weight after a long vacation. It is at work that I eat and gain a lot. I really have to figure that out.

Saturday morning was measurement time. I am happy to see that I have lost 2 cm on my waist. A great big deal for me. Weight loss was only 700 grams. Great numbers if you ask me as I did not feel anyway deprived of food only l feel like I did not get in enough greens in me. Something that I need to work out more.

Monday was my fourth fast day. It was a good one though my hunger was constant. Just a slight discomfort that I easily manage. I had woken up early to walk the dog. A 30 min walk which is about 3km. I love the early morning walks as there are hardly any cars making noise nor do you really meet anyone. My dog can walk without his leash and sniff away without stopping me up.

Today I will fit in a long walk no matter what the weather is like and to eat tons of salad as I have not been eating as much ‘green’ stuff as I used to. I have told all of my close friends (unfortunately they live around the world) about my fasting and they have been very supportive of me. I do adore them.
