Another fast! Yikes!

by Bobshouse on 30 Apr 2014, 06:32

Slept really well last night, unusual for me! After lots of thought and reading I am going for 4:3. One of my issues is I binge! Secretly! For years I have controlled this with the Weight watchers plan. It took a lot for me to throw away that security blanket. Since originally discovering 5:2 my binges are greatly reduced. They still happen but I do not eat so much. I am also very aware of feeling full which I do not like. I am now in a place where food is not the enemy, I enjoy it. So all that is left now is to reduce my calorie intake to lose weight. By fasting three times each week it gives me a good structure to work with and means I can eat what I want on the other days. I have always viewed weekends as treat time. I feel excited with this plan as I feel it will work. So I am sipping my black coffe that is breakfast as I type and feeling a little hungry but filled with determination to do this.
On the home front I have just one more curtain to make to finish my kitchen cupboard 'doors' and am loving the look. I am trying to make my home look less of a building site!
The chicks in the brooder are getting big and now have some feathers. A few more weeks and they can go out into the baby pen.The girls are amazing just now, giving me 7 eggs each day. Mrs Bob the duck gives a daily egg too. I have a mountain! Today I will have a baking session again to reduce the mountain. If rain holds off will also cut the grass.
Tomorrow eldest daughter and her hubby arrive for a two week holiday. First visitors of the year.
Have to say life feels positive now, long may it last!

In for repair Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Congratulations on getting rid of your w.w security blanket! :like: My security blanket is my daily morning weigh in which helps me plan how/when I need to mix it up a bit to repair any increase in weight resulting from an evening feast/weekend away/or holiday  That is what is so great about this w.o.e we don't have to stick to set days/ways of getting the excess to shift.......whether it's ADF/4:3/5:2/ ......it may seem to be slow but it works

I have ditched the scales for now too as was obsessive with them. I know if my weight is reducing by my clothes. A bit like someone who gives up smoking I am now very anti ww and its like. They are a money making machine taking advantage of us. I invested lots of money into ww and am still overweight. This is a far superior way of sorting out the problem as I am addressing the issues that got me here.

I prefer the structure of 4:3 too Bobshouse. For me 5:2 does not feel enough and it is easy to trip into binge territory (which I have fallen into for the past 3 months). Good luck!
