It must be such a relief to have a usable cloakroom after all this time. It's pretty demoralising to feel that you're living in a building site.
I hope so much for you that your sense of greater peace continues.

First week back done

On the house front I have a usable cloakroom. Just the windowsill to go in and toilet roll holder. I am going to make a blind for the window when I have decided on the colour. The room is painted white with white tiled floor and dark oak panelling and beams. My clever hubby made the door yesterday and today has put the handle on so it is all systems go. This has given me a great boost as I have been down about living on a building site. We go on holiday next month and once back P will carry on with Gite no 2. He has not been able to work on it with guests next door which is why I have a cloakroom. The next season we hope to have two Gites running and at that time he will do our lounge/dining room. Then next winter the 3rd and final Gite. After that all effort will be given to our home.
Meanwhile my eldest daughter and sil will be working on the bit we have given them with the idea of moving over here. This has thrown me as I have been so keen to move back to the UK. All this should be clearer once they have done their six weeks here and should know if they can make a life here.
I am feeling more at peace with myself just now which does help.
