Le Tertre calling in....

That is the name of my home by the way. It was a working farm but we just have the buildings with an acre. Gite cleaning today as guests left along with their two dogs. Last guests of the season arrive tomorrow. After 13 weeks straight I am pleased to have the place back to ourselves.
Took some chickens to an expat friend this morning so now have three cockerels and ten hens. The boys are fine for now so will all stay.
Managed to get most of the grass cut, at least hubby did whilst I cleaned the Gite.
Have eaten too much today but hey ho!
New cloakroom just needs the door fitting and a window sill. Nearly there. Hoping it gets finished tomorrow.
In the morning I will fire up the Esse as I need to make jam. My freezer has lots of black currants and blackberries. The apple trees are laden and hubby has asked for apple and blackberry jam. I need to start clearing space in the freezer as I have 1/2 a lamb coming soon. That will keep hubby happy for a while. I have done lots of veggie meals lately but he doesn't seem to notice! Tonight we had a small squash each stuufed with onion, mushrooms and cheese. These squashes are only in the shops for a few weeks as all fruit and veg here is seasonal. I am looking forward to brussel sprouts coming back.
Hubby has ordered me a yogurt machine. Had one years ago and used it constantly. I am lookong forward to having home made yogurt.
I am aware I am rambling so will say goodnight.
