It sure helps me. Besides fasting, I am weening myself from looking in the pantry every few hours. It's a bad habit and it doesn' make resisting my husband's treats any easier.
Tring to get hubby to eat healthier treats..... that's not going as well.
I also tell myself that hunger grumblings do not mean I MUST EAT NOW. I'm retraining myself to say hunger grumblings mean I'm getting thinner. Sometimes it helps. Good luck. Paula Rockyjp

Have two young children which means there is a plentiful amount of treats in various cupboards and the temptation to have a peak is so far not as bad as thought it might have been.
May try and hold out on any food until tea time and see how that goes but right now at time of writing I'm already 'in credit' on previous Mondays so a good start so far.
This site could prove to be a godsend
