15.04 Fast Day

Woken by dogs @ 2.50am and never got back to sleep...5am had veggie soup for brekky. I am seriously loving this soup and I must take to having it for lunch on feed days, filling, healthy & delish. Might add a slice of toast on feed days. Lots of black coffee throughout the day and an 8 cal hot choc with a dash of milk after work. Walked for about 2 hours today.

When I woke I was suffering from 'doubting Thomas'. Maybe my scales are weighing light, maybe I haven't really lost that much weight, maybe it's water loss, weighing after fast...hmmm even decided that my shorts were tight (straight out of the wash - by days end all most falling off me :shock: )I had tried on some clothes after the weekend and nothing seemed very loose. However the clothes I have been wearing, have been crying at the seams, so now they are sighing with relief. The 'old' clothes, well they are seriously skinny jeans,...

Well lost another 600gms and so I have decided to try 5:2 this week and see if I lose the same again...I am very skeptical that I can with just 2x500 days but hey let's see...I was skeptical that I could eat like a porker and lose weight and I have. I will fast Mon/Thurs this week. Off to get veg now for my super-soup...or should I call it souper? I am having a lazy Sunday, just walked the beasts on the beach for an hour and I think we'll have another beach walk late this arvo at another beautiful beach. Sun is shining, I have cleaned the house - just need to tidy somewhat, shop and come back and cook some lunch & souper for tomorrow/other fast days. I think I'll cook from the River Cottage veg book I have just bought - marvellous looking recipes and I have so many herbs that look like dying so I should eat them.

I have only 2.6kg to get to goal weight - tho I may go a bit lower if I'm not looking too haggard. The really interesting thing is I am still so paranoid it won't work whilst...

Interesting reading today - the thread about will we be here in 3 months. Wow some great weight loss stories there. I seriously can't believe I am losing weight AND eating & drinking. I have not been able to stick to a diet (yeah I know but I call a healthy eating plan a diet cos they don't include half a bottle of red and cakes...sadly :wink: ) This compared to 7 days a week is truly unbelievable & fantastic. Really all these eejits calling it a fad diet etc should have a look here and see how many people are getting their lives and health back. man whatever it takes to stop this obesity epidemic and it IS an epidemic. I travel by train to commute to from work and I am staggered at the size of people compared to 11 years ago when I did it. We are all getting bigger...except those of us on 5:2 tee hee. Surely someone in authority needs to have a go at taking their heads out of the sand...arse...

Right now I will get to the present. I am on the train in the middle...heading towards end of a fast day. I am hoping this one keeps being as easy as it seems and I don't fly into another semi binge @ 8pm! Lordy Lordy :bugeyes: Today I had my soup for bfst and whilst I am hungry I feel as I did for the first 10 fasts, fine and tomorrow I will have that which I might fancy today.

Tomorrow I do my weekly weigh in - pants feel tight today but that could be cos of these shorts. I shall wait and see. I had a big weekend last weekend with a guest staying plus friends over fir dinner. All vego but fattier and carbier than normal. However I didn't go overboard. Will save this as internet may cut out on train...TBC

fasted Tues Thurs April 2/4, followed by Mon 8th and then Wed 10th April...I fell down a bit here...no bfst starving all day, had soup 3.30pm, then dinner and I couldn't stop eating had egg/toast/butter/honey @ 8.30pm...well now I know why people think the fast is hard, my first struggle day, back at it again tomorrow Friday 12th April - I will do my weekly weigh in Saturday this week as I like to weigh after fast day. I have lost 3kg to last Friday...this is my lightest in about 2/3 years - I have been steadily gaining and have not been able to stick to any diet for more than 1.5 weeks.
