Fasting for over a month now...
by LadanTrying on 05 Dec 2014, 09:08
This time around it all feels different. I've written before that I quite like my fast days--I really do. I'm so aware of what I'm consuming, it seems to make all the difference. That wasn't how I felt about them the first go-around. Fasting felt like a chore and I looked at it as a slow, painful marathon.
So as far as numbers go.. well, this is where I'm at: current weight loss of 13.5 lbs (6.1 kg), almost a stone. I've lost a baby! My BMI is down 2.13 points... and to reach my goal weight (71.5 kg), I've got 9.3 kg to go. I imagine it will take me another two-three months to get there. That will put me properly back into the healthy BMI range.
I have no illusions that this average 2.5 lbs/week rate will keep up. I am prepared for the fact that my weight will suffer a bit during Christmas, though I'm already considering doing a kind of 16/8 approach on my feed days (so I only eat 8 hours on those days) or just trying to limit myself to one of each treat that I'm dead keen to sample. I've been so 'scared' about Christmas. I suppose the only thing I have to actually be scared of is myself and my own lack of self-control! There are so many wonderful things about this time of year that have nothing to do with food.
Tomorrow is the official start of my Christmas parties, dinners, lunches, and functions (got about 6-7 of them)... so we'll see how I fare.
New goals: 1. Get through Christmas with some weight loss (even if it's just a pound!). 2. Do an extra exercise session per week.
My weight numbers...
SW: 191 (Nov 2)
CW: 177.5 (Dec 5)
IW: 170 (hopefully in mid- to late January!)
GW: 157.5 (Healthy BMI!), hopefully by late February/early March!
