Goal weight reached!

by Nina10 on 20 Jul 2013, 15:23

I'm amazed at the excitement and self satisfaction of reaching my goal weight. It feels great - like I'm strong and I have new self assurance. :victory: What a wonderful side benefit. I've learned so much:

1) it's okay to be hungry, it will pass
2) I don't need to eat as much as I thought
3) skipping a meal/breakfast is okay despite popular media
4) i can exercise on an empty stomach

It's been an journey full of self discovery. I hope everyone else has as good of an experience and gets back on the program when they have a slip up, which is only normal. My journey was a lot different then some, but it's given me an appreciation for so many people struggling to lose weight. :like:

Well Done You!

I would agree with all of your points. I'm amazed @ how well this woe is working for me too. I'm 8lbs from reaching my goal which astounds me as it means a consistent loss over 14wks amounting to 25lbs. I would have given up by now on other diets started in the past.

I have adapted to suit myself which means my calorie count is not strictly adheard to, I simply forego breakfast & lunch on at least 2 days a week, I may skip breakfast if swimming & if I need lunch I have it! As you say it really is ok to feel hungry sometimes. Xx
