I find 'real' flour is harder to digest than gluten free. I'm also wondering about whether yeast in bread makes a difference (to me anyway).
I like your recipe with the rice, quinoa and soaked fruit - it sounds like a great choice if I'm feeling like comfort food.
All the best with your 5:2 journey.

Today I've found my normal 2 cups of black tea & a few glasses of water have taken the edge off so I'll be having m cooked brown rice, red quinoa with a small handful of soaked dried fruit (2 apricots, 2 prunes, cranberries, sultanas). I'll add a dollop of non-fat Greek yoghurt & a little rice milk. All up about a cup which keeps me happily chugging along until a very light lunch of asian green veg & tofu soup.
Feeling the benefits of an energy increase already & a lifting of Black Dog after getting in the garden yesterday & doing some physical work.
I'm glad I froze the remaining Damper as soon as it was cooked yesterday ..for 2 good reasons 1) it is yeast free so it goes rock hard quickly & 2) out of harm's way.
I'm enjoying finding my own 'Off Switch' for food & 'On Switch' for moving!
