Planning for Easter getaway

by PennyForthem on 25 Mar 2013, 11:35

As I write I can still see masses of the white stuff out there - and it's not melting! Our Easter getaway might have to turn into a Staycation, as the caravan can't be moved at the moment!

The plan was: hub to be under 16st and me to be under 13. This morning, I was 13.0 (.5) and my first goal is in SIGHT. As I'm on a fast today, I feel very positive about achieving it. Hub is also within a few pounds.

No wonder we were overweight. On planning for our weekend, I ordered from Tesco all the things we'd normally eat whilst away (oh, and drink!).
The list included a box of red wine, hash browns, hot cross buns and lots of various little 'treats'.
After calculating how many calories we might actually be consuming, they all came off the list.

We don't miss them at home and we will be a lot more careful and focused on healthy and sensible food in the caravan. As we're both losing weight, it'll be a lot easier. My fitness pal is also going with us.

I want to look back at this after Easter and report that, in fact, we did do well. We may not lose weight over the break, but neither of us wants to put any back on.

Start weight: 210lbs, maintaining at 140/144lbs. And loving it
