On track, possibly.

Difficult ten days with Mum rushed into hospital with gastric bleed. Hospital visiting and family members descending has made 5:2 fasting a bit erratic. Have changed days depending on what's been going on. Did last Monday and am fasting today. Will try to get back on track next week and do Monday and Thursday again.
One good thing is that I have been doing lots of walking, mainly to get my sisters out of the house in between hospital visits. I did weigh myself on Wednesday and hadn't lost anything but that's ok because I had done two long hard walks and I always retain fluid for a couple of days after hill walking. I'm fasting today and Monday and so hopefully will see a bit of a drop next week.
Regardless of weight loss the biggest positive of fasting for me has been to instantly cure me of my fear of being hungry. On non-fasting days I don't feel the urge, panic even, to eat and eat or even snack. And fasting days seem really easy because I know it's only for the day and that I will be eating again tomorrow.
So all on all it has been a very positive experience so far, in spite of the disruption caused by Mum's hospital admission. I planned to fast 5:2 during January to see how it went; I have another week to go but can't see any reason not to carry on. I just hope the weight loss kicks in again.
