Stupid mistake, so annoyed with myself!

by Romany05 on 27 Mar 2013, 10:22

I can't believe I made such a stupid basic mistake for this diet! I had been doing incredibly well for the last 9 days and lost 3.4 Kilos, which is a lot and I know its not sustainable, but I wanted it to last as long as possible.
The last few days have been, fast lose 600g, feed gain 200g, which is wonderful for the motivation. But (there is always a but!) I have been worried that I might be under eating, so wanted to make sure that I ate my allotted calories. All well and good until yesterday's fast day, I made a vegetable and prawn stir fry. But I was way under on calories, I added some more veg but that was not going to help, but then I thought, add more sweet chilli and teriaki sauce! It will give a real flavour hit and I love my spices.
All well and good but I forgot the cardinal rule of my body. It is addicted to sugar and carbs and although I was on target, calories wise, I had just blown my last 9 days of hard work sticking to very low carbs!
I know I still lost 100g today and...

Getting to grips with my last ever diet!

by Romany05 on 26 Mar 2013, 16:09

Although I am just starting my 2nd week, I thought I better review all my research and add all my details to a blog, as I was just calculating the diet as and when I found other details!
Total daily energy expenditure (TDEE) calculator
Age 48
Start weight 93 Kilo, 14.654 Stone or 205 pounds
Height 5'7" or 170cm
Result - 1808- 2259 Calories per day

As I am following the ADF diet, this meant that I would have a 1/1 routine . so in effect one day 500 calories and the next 1808- 2259
Then I entered my details on MyFitnessPal and they said I should be on 1230 Calories per day.
Taking 1230 cal per day, x 2 = 2460 cal for a 2 day group
2460cal - 500 cal = 1960 which equates to 500 cal fast day/1960 feed day which is in the middle of the target.
I am managing to keep to around the 500 calories for a Fast day. I would never choose to do this, but it is getting easier each time and the hard work is paying off.
I have much more of a problem on Feed days! Because of different diets in the...

Please let this be my last ever diet!!

by Romany05 on 21 Mar 2013, 15:30

I started this diet on Sunday 17th April Start weight 92.6 Kilo
I am doing Alternate Days at the moment abt 2000/500 calories
Fast days so far, Monday and Wednesday and as of this morning I am 90.0K so thats 2.6 Kilo so far this week, but realise that the total lost following feed days will not be so much.
I am 48 and peri-menopausal and although no matter what yo-yo weight I have been I have always had a real hour glass figure, this has completely disappeared, so now I walk around looking 9 months pregnant but also have lovely rolls of fat over the back and sides of my bra to finish the look!!

I am doing 1/1 days as I need to loose as much as possible before May 1st when I go on holiday with family and friends. Its not just to look OK, but more the fact that I cannot afford to buy new clothes just for a weeks holiday when I have a wardrobe full of summer clothes that I cannot fit into. At the moment I am limited to one dress at a real push, so hopefully I will be able to fit into some...
