A bit depressing

by Sallyo on 13 May 2013, 01:28

It 's a bit depressing that I haven't lost any more weight. We both lost kilos after the first week and I've lost heaps off my waist, but no weight loss since the first week. We are now entering week 5. I am starting to doubt.

It is winter. So I guess I can think that normally I would be gaining weight. So just holding it at 75kg is worth celebrating. Maybe.

Remember that when you weigh yourself, you weigh EVERYTHING in your body - including water drunk, muscle, fat etc. If you are losing inches that is good progress. We rely too much on losing 'weight' as a checker but no-one walks up to you, lifts you up & sees how heavy you are! They do however walk up to you and see the lack of muffin top over your waistband. Maybe you are exercising more? Muscle weighs heavier than fat so that could explain the lack of change in weight. Well done on what you have achieved so far.

Thanks, Ickypoo, I've actually been exercising less, as I had an injured knee. Today I went for a decent walk, so maybe more exercise will do the trick.

I don't really want to. I imagine I might lose weight faster on that but I'm not in a rush and 5:2 seems more sustainable to me.
