You're doing great. 1.9 yahoo, loved your soup idea! It's weird hearing you talking about the cold when you commented on my blog, so hot and humid here, air conditioner on!
Know what you mean about others uninvited comments, say little and they'll see the results anyway!
Love the idea of not calorie counting myself although I do weigh things sometimes to keep myself on track, can be a little heavy handed eating in portion creep LOL
Keep up the awesome work, reading your blog with interest,
Tracey

I have been glued to the forum! So interesting to read everyone's experiences and thoughts. I am surprised by the large amount of writing about calorie counting. I guess for people who have always done it, on various diets, it comes second nature. I will not go there. The Don't Go Hungry Diet has taught me to listen to my body. Michael Pollan's books have taught me to eat food, not factory junk. Those are my guidelines.
I was interested this morning to read people's experiences of telling other people about the diet and copping negativety. People do have firm ideas about diets and I know I do too. My friend sent me a link to some natural diet pills yesterday and I felt quite offended! We did tell Jeremy and Lizzie - son and girlfriend and he quoted Rosemary Stanton back at me, about how dangerous it is, especially for people with heart issues. So I was interested to read someone refer to her as a conservative commentator who doesn't know what she's talking about. I think the best idea is to stop telling people and just let the results speak for themselves.
Talking of results - I wasnt' going to weigh myself until next Monday but Tony did - he'd forgotten what he weighed and he'd lost 3 kg.(I remembered what he weighed on Monday: 101 kg) So I did too and I had lost 1.9 kg. I know, I know, scales are funny things. So I'm not really taking that too seriously. But I can't wait for next Monday! Feeling definitely hopeful.
