pep talk

by Sallyo on 01 Jul 2013, 01:29

My 2nd no-breakfast fast. This time I am at home, not at work, and I am nervous. So I am writing my blog to help myself think straight about it. 1. If I am REALLY hungry I can have a miso soup. 2. I will drink water or non-caffeine tea. I have already had coffee and ordinary tea, so I need to drink something else next or I will get a caffeine overload. 3. Keep busy. I can do my Japanese on-line class. I can write a letter to my grand daughter. I can work on my design for the tapestry. I can go for a walk. I can go into the garden and spread around pigeon manure, check on the brassicas and the peas and broad beans, plant some more broad beans if necessary. It isn't a very nice day but it's not actually raining, so although it doesn't look inviting, it will be ok outside if I dress warmly. Once outside, one never regrets it. And this afternoon I have an appointment with my mum's doctor and then to the gym. So that sorts out the afternoon.

Weighing today was troubling. I stood on the scales and got 75.2. I didn't like that so I tried again. This time I got 74.2. Then again 74.6 and 74.6 again. So I called it 74.6. I think it depends where you stand on the scales. OH had a similar experience. We are dissatisfied with these scales.
