Headaches

by Pembo on 27 Jun 2013, 21:02

Day 5 .. Even though the thought process now of fasting is easy, the thing that I really really hate and don't look forward to is the constant dull headache that comes on at midday and increases throughout the day. I'm keeping myself hydrated to the point of 2 pee stops an hour some days. It doesn't seem as bad when a fasting day is an exercise day but today I felt very lethargic and couldn't bring myself to train. I had it all planned out and set a side an hour for a circuit training session but when it came down to it I couldn't bring myself to do it. I'm having an early night with a couple of paracetamols as company hoping tomorrow when I wake I will be fully charged for the day ahead :)

Headaches are no fun. Try some salty soup stock like chicken. Negligible calories and I found it helpful.

Cutting cafeine to much too early can cause a headache. This too will pass. Try a cup or tea of coffee. If that stops it, you'll have learned the cause.

Being a bit sleepy on fast days is common. As you've noticed, staying busy helps.

I can't stand head aches and would go for the soluble paracetemol or asprin at the first sign of it.
