Setting another impossible goal

by Sallyo on 25 Dec 2013, 22:18

So I'm fasting today. It feels relatively easy. I'm so happy about meeting my Christmas target, so unexpectedly. Yesterday I ate well but I didn't pig out. I didn't have that stuffed, uncomfortable feeling I have too often experienced after Chrissy dinner. Today I woke up early, went for a walk. I'm ready to fast.

You know how I feel about targets. My weight is in the 'things I cannot change' basket, to some extent. Sure I can do my 2 fasts a week, but whether my weight changes or not is up to the Gods. But, I must say, when I did meet that Xmas target, it felt like a reason to celebrate. I only had to lose a kilo and it often felt impossible. When I got there, I felt on top of the world.

So here's another target. 65 kgs will get my BMI to 25. The Progress Tracker says April 2014. It's another 5 kgs. Perhaps I should have another interim target , like under 69 kgs by the end of the school holidays? That could be do-able. I won't weigh daily, just every 2nd day. Wish me luck!

Katharina is my fasting buddy.

Well done Sallyo. Sounds like a very sensible target to me. Good luck!
Thanks, Karen.
