small loss.

by Sallyo on 07 Jul 2014, 04:20

Long time since I wrote a blog so here goes. Everything is going along pretty well. I think I have lost a kg since last weigh in. I haven't been weighing recently. The new scales are a lot less volatile than the old ones and always say the same thing. That means they are good scales! So when they say 69 instead of 70 I take notice. I an being a bit stricter with my fasting days lately so that has to be a good thing. It is a slow business over winter, that's for sure.

I am very happy to have started doing yoga again. I went this morning and I am going to take Tony to 'Stretch and breath' on Wednesday. I love doing it on Monday on my fasting day and I've been twice to the 6.30am class, also on a fasting day. Now i am on school holidays so I might miss that for 2 weeks and support Tony on Wednesdays instead. It would be so good if he decided to go to that regularly but he will need a bit of support to get there!

Today I went to the nursery on the way home from yoga and bought 4 punnets of seedlings: leek, red onion, spring onion and winter spinach. I am going to buy some Dulverton Compost to put on the top bed which I have cleared and plant them there. I might put some spinach plants down the bottom near the house too, find some room around the garlic plants. I think the secret of good winter spinach is keeping it well picked, and if they are right up the top of the block it might not get picked as much as it should be. But if it is down by the house I will be able to get to it easily.

Katharina is my fasting buddy.

Well done for staying stable over winter Sallyo! Great choice of seedlings. I'm missing my garden at the moment, the best I can do is a large pot of basil on the patio!

Well, a large pot of Basil is a very comforting plant, rawkaren and certainly a joy. And lovely to see you around. How's things? Any better?

Yes, things are good. With the hot weather, my fast days are mostly apples or a salad. It seems to have bumped me off my plateau!

Yay! So much easier to lose weight in hot weather. That's very encouraging.
