Struggling.

by Scifichick on 31 Jul 2013, 09:52

This is my second week of fasting without weightloss in a row. I'm aware I need to up my exercise and probably need to control my feed day intake better. But still, today is not a fabulous one.

Fighting the good fight

by Scifichick on 16 Jul 2013, 12:13

I only managed 1 fast last week. I have decided to be proud that I managed even that rather than beating myself up for failing to do 2. My youngest is a challenge (one whom I love beyond all sense, but still exhausting), my job is tumultuous and life is about more than this WOE so I will use it as a tool, not treat it like a new religion.

Having said that, it's too hot to eat at the moment (don't get to say that in the UK very often) so I'm hoping today's fast should be on the easy side.

Fingers crossed.

New beginning...again.

by Scifichick on 09 Jul 2013, 11:56

So, life has been a little less than forgiving recently and I've been eating for England. But I've decided enough is enough, the food isn't solving any problems and it's just making me fat again so I'm back on the metaphorical horse as of today.

Yay me!

by Scifichick on 26 Apr 2013, 06:45

I would normally blog on a fast day as it helps me to keep focused through the day. I didn't yesterday because something was happening and I didn't want to jinx it....I didn't eat anything!

I didn't set out to do a total food fast, it absolutely happened by accident, but it wasn't actually all that challenging. I suspect that was more about the mood I was in yesterday and about what was going on rather than my awesome *cough* powers of abstinence; but it's good to know I can manage to function at my normal level without food if I choose to.

Now, what can I have for breakfast?

Who'da thunk it!

by Scifichick on 23 Apr 2013, 13:16

I was only able to fit a 5:2 last week because I was away on a training course and life just didn't play ball.

I was really proud of myself because I still managed to stick to my fast day on Thursday despite having lunch provided by the course centre (no muffin for breakfast, only ate the veg and a couple of cubes of beef at lunch, black coffee all the way through). I was super proud of sticking to it that evening in my hotel room when I was all on my own; thanks mainly to the judicial application of pyjamas really early in the evening which meant I couldn't hit the vending machines and being prepared with low calorie snacks in my suitcase.

What has really struck me, though, is that I missed the fast I had had to miss on Saturday (pesky life, getting in the way!). And by missed, I mean that it has felt odd eating for 4 days on the trot even after only 3 weeks of this new way of eating. I was actually looking forward to today, to getting back on the fasting track, to not having to...
