Just in case anyone else does read this, a bit of background.
I'm 32, married no children, working full-time in an opticians which I wouldn't call physically strenuous but I am on my feet quite a lot.
I have been overweight/obese for as long as I can remember but in denial for a lot of that time particularly during and after uni. In 2008 I joined Slimming World and was shocked to discover that although I thought I was 15stone, I was actually 16st 5lbs. Over a year I dropped to 13st 5lbs but then moved away and had to stop Slimming World as none in my new area.
Married 6 months later at approx 13st 8lbs and very chuffed to be in a size 16 not size 18 wedding dress.
A bit crept back on until about a year ago, beginning of April last year I decided to get serious about losing weight again, at that point I was 14st 2lbs. I started counting calories and tried Jillian Michaels workout DVDs, I'm now a convert/addict, I think I have 6, and work out 6 mornings a week, taking Sunday off.
I started 5:2 on 14th January, easy to remember as its the day after my birthday. I was around 12st 3lbs at the time. I'm now around 11st 11lbs and aiming to reach a FINAL goal of 11st 0lbs as that will give me a normal BMI (just). I say around 11st 11lbs because I weigh myself every single day, so I'm aware that my weight naturally fluctuates a little.
Well, I think I've bored even myself now so I'll start the blog proper tomorrow which is a non-fast day, but I think for me it will be even more important to blog on those days to help prevent my calorie intake from exploding.
