Maintaining

by Taos on 23 Apr 2014, 13:12

As much as my head would like to see a number like 145 on the scale, 151-152 seems to be where where it has settled for awhile! My husband has put about 15 pounds back on over the winter, but as a cattle feeder having to get out early on cold winter mornings and break ice and work cattle, more calories got to be important! With warmer temps he is once again trying to do 2 fast days with me! Our drought and terrible dust storms have made walking nearly impossible some days so i am happy to be where I am! Threw away my fat summer clothes this week as I have gone from a size 14 to an 8. Kept a couple size 12 I had bought in triumph last summer! They will hopefully serve as my reminder that I was even larger than that! Bloodwork and pressure improved also. keeping good health habits remains my top priority as I have the reminder of long term effects of type two diabetes in my dad as he now battles kidney failure. Needing new clothes that fit is a very nice perk to the new lifestyle. I never feel deprived except a couple mid-afternoons a week! Lol! I am in this for life even if there a a few bumps, I know how to steer through to the other side again!dont give yp out there, and thank you Bloggers! Many of you have helped me along!

I don't know why the forum calls you a 'new member' Taos! Well done on over a year of fasting. Do you stick to 5:2? I'm in for life as well. I can't imagine being size 8!! I think I'm doing well on size 14, but I started at 18ish. I did fit 16 but I have been 18. Perhaps US sizes are different from Australian sized. Great blog!

Thanks for reinforcement, Sallyo! I have no idea why I am still a new member either! Lol! I had to restart w new login about six weeks in, but that was a year ago! I do feel pretty new in self tho! I don't know about Aussies sizes! It has been 14 years since I was last there. But I do know all is relative...you are shrinking!! We had another two days of horrible winds and dust storms, so no walking! But grateful Colorado did not get horrific storms w tornados like mid plains did! I will hit fasting hard tomorrow as have had too many days of eating out and sitting and riding in car! Hope they call me to sub tomoro so I don't hear food in fridge calling to me! Thanks for support!
