how Im getting on

tuesday april 2nd. Fast day no1. weight at start of this 12st (168lb) exactly. waist 35/37 hip 43. worked out normal calories 1830-2000. with fasting calories at 625 maximum. will not use the calories earnt whilst running & stick to under 2000 a day which should be do-able. have been treating myself to far too much food for my running & my recent half marathon training. need/want to lose at least half to 3/4 stone. 11.3lb is my goal. WW goal weight 2 years ago. hoping to lose a steady pound a week & get rid of my wobbly belly & muffin top & builders bum (I know what I mean). damm. am 12stone exactly. not good but defo day 1 motivation!! ran 6 miles this morning then had a long sleepy bath. now 2pm & hunger noisy. gonna save the rest of my 500 calories for dinner then no-one will know about this being day 1. not told anyone as dont want anyone to know, especially my girls who are 14,15 & almost 17. not good as Im not really that overweight & dont want them getting it into their head that they have to lose weight. besides, am doing this for me. I want to be able to get into my jeans & them not be tight around my waist with my belly hanging over them. I dont want to have to cover up in a baggy tshirt all through the summer. so far no-one has noticed that I havent eaten allllll day, not even hubby. I did mention that I was reading this book but dont think he needs to know either. not yet anyway. 4.30pm. been shopping. going to have beans on toast for dinner. day 1 successful! & not as bad as I had thought it would be.

day 2. normal day. didnt sleep well. keep getting up for a wee. 3 times I think! got a bit of a dull headache today but now that Ive eaten hopefully that will disappear. did weigh myself though. 1lb lost. probably put that back on today though. havent gone mad & pigged out today although did reach the 2000 calorie mark. hoping for a better nights sleep as a bit ratty today with kids.

day 3. woke up feeling really hungry so will have a runfast day tomorrow.

day 4. runfast day 2. ran 4 miles (45mins) on the treadmill followed by 15mins on the exercise bike. 5.50pm. havent eaten all day. some tummy grumblling that went away with hot chocolate. am having 4xquorn mini fillets on a salad for dinner. feeling good. dinner was filling but too much thousand island dressing. hoping for a good nights sleep. bed at 10.45 x

day 5.normal day & its the weekend. 11.11.6lb on scales this morning but wont weigh again til monday morning which will be my next fast day & is going to be my normal weigh in day. no headache this morning which is good. doesnt even feel as if I had a fast day yesterday. better nigbts sleep. only up for the loo twice! 1970 calories today which includes the 2 glasses of wine that I havent had yet :) & a fry up for dinner. its strange. belly doesnt feel as bloated as normal & neither do I, even after the fry up. sunday tomorrow & looking forward to a run as has been cold but bright & sunny today.

Oh no. Put weight on this week. Haven't exercised or counted calories so will have to sort myself out. Off to doctors today to see if he has any ideas about my hip pain so then I'll be able to run again. X

11.5.6!!!!!!!!!! Woohoo. Broke under 11 and a half stone. Finally. Plateau 1. Shelley 1. Hehe. Now we equal. Was getting worried that weight was going up again back to where I started. Big smile on my face today. :bugeyes: Kick start happened as I did an 8 hour food window Tuesday. Fast day yesterday. 500 calories. Only 2 proper cups of tea and lots of fruit teas throughout the day. Will update progress log Monday hoping that today isn't just a fluke. X

Sat 1st June. Went out out yesterday for a huge lunch finished off with chocolate fudge cake and ice cream and had half a bottle of wine. Belly completely stuffed after. Needless to say I only had a chocolate ring donut at dinner time but had fried egg sandwich before my late lunch. Was expecting scales to have crept up loads this morning. Have planned to only weigh day after a fast but as I'm doing the 8 hour window was interested to see how my body had coped with all that food at once. 11.6.4lbs. Not even a whole lb added. Am avoiding milk in my tea as well apart from my first cup of the day and my 8 hour window. Fast day tomorrow, maybe :) xx

sunday 2nd june. fasting today. have had a lovely normal first cuppa tea & fruit tea for the rest of the day. been rummaging around the freezer & found some homemade quorn curry so am defrosting that for dinner to have with 200g rice. that should fill me up. am 60 calories under target so can have some normal cups of tea during this evening. roast beef for the family so will have to spend the next couple of hours smelling that cooking. have kept busy today moving round my sewing room ready for work tomorrow. got 5 bridesmaid dresses to alter by wednesday so that will keep me occupied once kids back at school & things back to normal after half term. xx

day 22. almost over now. havent been hungry all day but now I know its nearly time to make dinner I am all of a sudden starving with rumbly tummy! am having cheese omelette with salad & a dollop of mayo followed by a glass of red. yummy. managed the 8 hour window yesterday that turned out to be an 8 1/2 hour window. normal eating day monday after my fast but did add up what I ate & was quite good. had aimed for a 16;8 day but was hungry from fasting. weight after my last fast up a tiny bit to 11.6.2 so that was my weigh in for this week. feeling positive. just hoping that next week Ill be able to get out running again.

next fast sunday as got chinese or indian takeaway planned for saturday night. yummmy. x

11.5 exactly!!! oh yeah!! oh yeah!! woohoo. thats a whole whoppig 9lbs gone. even let out a little "YES" when the scales flashed up 11.5. motivation to wait til at least 11 before I have something to eat. fasted yesterday so beginning to feel a little hungry now :)

weigh in this week on Monday & I was 11.6lbs. A pound heavier!! Ok, so it's only a pound but wanted it to be lower :( mind you, did have a Chinese with the family Sat night and fast day was day late. Anyways. Today was a fast day. Kept really busy and didn't feel overly hungry. Was really cold last fast day and as was busy today didn't notice feeling cold today. Am building up to exercise again. Hip still giving me a bit of jip now and then so may start on cross trainer again. Will start 30 day shred at weekend when daughters exams are over. We doing it together, just got to get another set of hand weights. X

repair day yesterday no 24 & today am 11.4.6!! I cannot believe it. I looked at scales expecting 11.6 & its under 5. woohoo. let out a little screach again! I am soooooo close to my target of 11.3 now ~ the target I set at weight watchers & struggled to reach. think those last 2lbs took me about 2 months. am opening my feeding window today at 11. meeting a friend for coffee which for me will be a big hot chocolate with squirty cream & marshmallows. how come I reward myself with food? :) anyways, keeping busy so that the hunger doesnt set in & will try & be good the rest of the day as have a chinese takeaway planned with the girls friday night & that will probably involve wine aswell ;) bye for now. shelley x

Just had lovely Indian takeaway. Veg biriami. Onion bhajee. Mini naam bread. Followed by about a dozen matchmaker and a few chocolate truffles. Downed with about half a bottle of wine. Putting this on here as can't believe how uncomfortable my belly is now that I've moved. Glad I'm going to bed now. Wouldn't be pleased if it was lunchtime and I had to move around feeling uncomfy and bloated x

So near yet so far. 11.3.6lbs. Just .6lbs off my ww target. How great is that :) feeling slim. Tummy definitely flatter and really loving not feeling like I look 5 months pregnant by bedtime. Still no exercise. Not even the cross trainer or shred with Molly. Another week and it will have been a month. Have been busy this week moving Charlie to his new room and painting. For my fast yesterday I had toast at lunchtime and scrambled egg on toast for dinner. Was hungry all evening and have promised myself all kinds of food today but it's almost 9am and I don't want anything. How strange is that! So, it's onwards and upwards and hoping I can hit my target this week. I am so grateful for this forum. There has been so much advice and support and love the fact that this is workable and doesn't involve watching everything I eat and tracking all the time. Much better than ww and much cheaper :) x
