Becoming a part of my regular routine now

by ceece on 27 Jul 2013, 12:25

Yesterday I weighed in under 160 for the first time in two years :victory:
160 on the dot. Today after a regular food day yesterday, I weighed in at 160.3 I am sure my weight will go up and down a pound but I am slowly and steadily losing weight. Less than a pound a week.

Yesterday was a free food day and I did not have the urge to overeat to make up for my fast. I now feel a routine setting in. I get to enjoy three days of normal eating and actually look forward to my Monday fast.

The fasting as not as bad as fasting for a medical test. Such as a colonoscopy or surgery. Where you have NOTHING to eat except water and clear liquids. Having the 500 calorie evening meal is something to look forward to and the fasting is so very doable.

My husband is doing great too, and feels the same way about not feeling an urge to overeat. He is actually eating less on his free days.
I encourage him...

Hubby doing better than me!!

by ceece on 22 Jul 2013, 10:25

I am still at 4.4 lbs lost but like the way I am looking and feeling in my clothes. They are looser in the stomach, hips too.
My husband watched the documentary and decided to start. I think he has done about 4 or 5 fasts and lost over 20lbs He has much more to lose. I am so happy for him and know he will stick with it because he is enjoying regular food on his free days.

Yesterday I had a veggie burger, fries and salad for dinner. I don't know if it bad or if I just overate, but I had a painful stomach all night and into this morning. :frown:
Going to the dentis for a cleaning and crown this morning. wondering if it is a good or bad idea to do my usual Monday fast.

Did my jog/walk early at 430am. :sleepy: I'm off all week from work. Going to start watching a little bit on my free days to be sure...

A LIttle over 4 Weeks, Lost 4.6 lbs

by ceece on 16 Jul 2013, 09:42

The weight is not coming off as fast as I thought it would. A little over 4 weeks and I lost 4.6 lbs. That is a little over a lb a week. They said the diet has you lose a lb a week, so I guess I am on target with this program.
Over time (a year) you can lose a significant amount of fat weight and it stays off. I will just continue because my clothes do feel looser. Measuring is really hard since it is hard to remember exactly where I had the tape measure the first time.

My Two Free Days

by ceece on 11 Jul 2013, 00:13

Today and yesterday were free days. I felt over full both days in the evening. I think I am eating past full because I know it is my "free" day and just making a pig of myself by overeating.
I need to stop eating when I feel full.
LOTS of breads, pasta CARBS. Need to get more veggies in me!
Tomorrow is a fast day.
My husband has joined in and has been doing great. Not sure what he lost so far but he needs to lose much more than me. He is doing the fast days on MOnday and THursday as well. Makes it easier.

Clothes fitting better

by ceece on 09 Jul 2013, 09:14

I've lost 4.6 lbs so far on the fastdiet, which is a big deal to me. Losing 5-20 lbs is hard when that is all you need to lose.
Yesterday was a fast day, and my cals totaled to 514 by the end of the day. It is getting easier to do on fast days. I know that I am not starving and that I will be eating regular the following two to three days. I don't deny myself anything to eat either. Sunday I had a tiramisu for dessert. Totally guilt free and enjoyed myself for the first time in a long time with dessert! In the past, i would have ruined the dessert by feeling guilty. I also find myself eating "normal" on normal days. I don't eat past full. I take my time with the food. I do not rush or shove the food down quickly. We went to Olive Garden for dinner. I ordered the eggplan parmesan with pasta, salad and bread sticks. I had one circle of the eggplant and brought the rest home. I wanted room for dessert.
Once I reach my goal weight, I will fast once per week for the health benefits....
