Peter Smith's Diet Progress

by dohpeterchina on 26 Apr 2013, 22:39

Before the 17th September 2012 I looked like this. Waist 108 cm, hips 110 cm
My vanity has prevented me from giving my real weight, (I had no scales) I logged 95kg, the last known weight I choose to remember. I have logged 107kg, but I did lose some of that - I swear it's true...

Thank goodness the stripes made me look thin - O dear!

After 5 1/2 months (8th April 2013) I looked like this Waist 100 cm, hips 108 cm
Image
After 7 months I look like this (21st April 2013) Waist 96 cm, hips 105 cm
Image

Waist 92 cm, hips 103 cm (15th May directly after my fast and keenly tugging on the tape measure - I want to lose weight so much and my bloody waist is over my stomach). Who am I cheating?

For this photo I measure in at Waist 95 cm, hips 102 (8 months, 17 May 2013)

The lesson is that measurements vary, but the pictures tell the story

The awful truth is that on 12th June 2013 I got some scales and measured in at 88.4Kg. I am either losing weight at 170g per week or I lied about my start weight. You can look at the pictures and draw your own conclusions. What would you do?

Slow and steady, no picture this month. My waist is 94 cm and my hips are 101 cm, I have got to start getting into that tummy fat soon!

18th July 2013: 6 weeks since I got the scales. I now weigh daily. According to the trend line I have lost another kilo perhaps more. The important thing is I am losing weight and another cantimetre off my hips (100cm).

These are my results on the 5:2 Fasting Diet, I am sure other people will do better than me, but I am enjoying myself.

Peter

Read this before giving up
Why do the scales show an increase when I've been so good?
Weight fluctuates disappointingly but it does go down.

5:2 fasting since 17th September 2012
Have a look at my progress

Wow you can really see the difference in your photos! Brilliant! I looked at a couple of myself from just 4 months ago and my face looked really 'puffed up' compared to now! It's great motivation. Many congrats and wishing you continued success!

Well done Peter! Judging from the last picture it seems that you are now "off the couch" and on the dance floor!

My fitness regime is pushing a my wife about - in her wheelchair. It is gym equivalent. Feel the burn up those stairs (I am in Moscow - no help for the disabled here!).

Throw out the wheelchair and I am a couch potato.

I have always been fat - my stomach is a matter of family pride - a direct connection to my ancestors. I am a shining example of the uselessness of exercise in losing weight.

If you lose 10 kg, then you've done a load of weight training, so you gain energy.

I am not as tired as I used to be...
