Recovery Jog

by fionaw2110 on 14 Mar 2013, 13:33

Well this is the first bit of exercise since completing the half marathon. A nice recovery jog during my lunch break at work. Fasted yesterday so I made sure I was well fueled before heading out. Surprisingly the run felt comfortable. Well it's back to the gym tonight too for a bit of Body Combat. I seem to have so much energy at the moment.

Fast, Eat, Run - My Next Challenge Half Marathon in Sept

by fionaw2110 on 12 Mar 2013, 13:29

About eight years ago I was 16 stone, a good 7 stone over weight. I started to take back control of my life by eating a lot less and exercising more. Over the first two years I lost that 7 stones and managed to keep the weight off for a further three years. However a couple of years ago I started to slow down on the exercise, increased the amount of unhealthy food I was eating and put back on 3 1/2 stone...
SInce November I have rejoined my gym, and run 15 - 25 miles a week outdoors and from January started the 5:2 way of life. I feel so much better, happier and more self confident, oh and I've lost 16lbs as well. I completed the Cambridge Half Marathon on 11th March. I plan to now improve on that time when I run my next half in September. I will document my training and fasting in my blog so that you can join my in my highs and lows...
