After thirteen weeks of 5:2 I am well on track and enjoying seeing the kilos drop. Someone on the forum mentioned the true weight idea from the Dukan diet; can't remember now how exactly it's calculated but it involves taking your 'best weight' from your 20s and adding kilos according to your age and number of kids. Anyway, my true weight turns out to be 63 kg. When I started 5:2 I picked 65 kg as my goal weight as it is what I weighed before I started piling on the kilos about ten years ago. The slimmest I ever was (in my 20s), I weighed 58 kg and I did really like how I looked then, but I do believe it would be too low for me now. So, inspired by the true weight thing I have just revised my goal weight down to 63 kg. I will of course see how I feel (and look) when I get down to 65 kg but I have a feeling I will want to go down the extra two kilos. Losing 1.6 pounds is hardly a plateau! You are not going to keep losing at the same rate as the beginning. You should be very happy with 1 pound a week!
