On friday, I will have been leading a 5:2 lifestyle for a month, so a review of my first month's experiences seems like good subject matter for blog post number 1!
The fasting...
I'm finding fasting pretty easy and, perhaps, even enjoyable now that I've got into the swing of things. I started off splitting my 500 calories into two meals, but then decided to have a go at using all of my calories for an evening meal, usually finishing off the evening with a cup of options hot chocolate!
The latter approach works best for me as I don't feel like raiding the cupboards in the evening and don't tend to go to bed hungry.
I am actually a little flexible on the 500 calories, for example tomorrow's fast is 511 calories, my previous was 522 and the one before that was 594!! Perhaps I shouldn't be so lax about this, but I do feel that sometimes those extra calories make all the difference, especially if I have dance rehearsals that evening (this happens four out of five...

Losing 1.6 pounds is hardly a plateau! You are not going to keep losing at the same rate as the beginning. You should be very happy with 1 pound a week!

Yes, it is terribly dead here, especially lately. I think that people either just have all the information they need or have stopped this WOE. It is a shame. But stick around. It seems to go in waves....
