The truth about exercise, and not doing it!
I am sat on the plane to Port Hedland and have just watched Michael Mosley's doco, The Truth about Exercise again. He was a non responder to aerobic exercise as it didn't increase his VO2 max, but it did improve his insulin and decided to continue with it.
I haven't done any serious exercise since April, apart from a couple of gym visits, a lot of walking whilst overseas (including a couple of decent climbs in the Dolomites), but nothing regularly and I know I'm unfit. I did a lot of weights, not so much cardio, but after watching the program have decided I am going to try and do some HIT every other day, with other exercise chucked into the mix in a bid to move my weight along.
Looking at my weight loss since I started, I am not exactly a poster girl for 5:2! It has been in fits and starts and with a long holiday and then Christmas, I seem to be back where I started. I don't really have any excuses not to do well; I am stuck in a mining camp...

Losing 1.6 pounds is hardly a plateau! You are not going to keep losing at the same rate as the beginning. You should be very happy with 1 pound a week!

Yes, it is terribly dead here, especially lately. I think that people either just have all the information they need or have stopped this WOE. It is a shame. But stick around. It seems to go in waves....
