Well here we are the morning after my second fast of the week and a weigh in. I weigh 9stone 7.25lb! I am very pleased with that as it means almost 4 lb gone. I find this really exciting as it means that I can do this. I can get back down to a slim weight again.
I have bought a book on cooking with pulses and have developed a taste for beans. I am cooking chick pea mash, and roast chick peas for snacks (which are really nice) and found that as long as they are really fresh, kidney beans cook really well. As they are low GI they do not cause an insulin spike and also contain a lot of fibre. I am thinking of trying some bean burgers as an alternative to potatoes.
This week we sorted out the gym to a large degree. I still haven't used it but it is there now!
We have booked a trip to Africa in a month's time and I am anxious to fit in to my safari clothes. Even if I keep loosing weight at this rate, I think that will be pushing it a bit but I am going to try!

Losing 1.6 pounds is hardly a plateau! You are not going to keep losing at the same rate as the beginning. You should be very happy with 1 pound a week!

Yes, it is terribly dead here, especially lately. I think that people either just have all the information they need or have stopped this WOE. It is a shame. But stick around. It seems to go in waves....
