So the 1st week on 5:2 diet is over. I have lost 1.7kg over this week and done 3 fasting. I confirmed yesterday's weight even if I really ate a lot, trying to do some carbo loading for today's race. I am glad about the result and I am pretty sure the weight loss will drop a little bit in the next week since it is easy to loose a bit more at the beginning of a new diet. Overall I am quite happy about how I managed the 3 fasting days. If I plan the day in advance I know when and what I am going to eat and learnt that I need to have a bit more at lunch than in the evening. What I have to do now is to look carefully my feeding day. I must reduce the junk food on those days, like nutella or snacks that I don't really need. I am thinking to make 2 days out of the 4 remaining, sweet free days above all if they are non training days. If I can improve on this I am sure things will go in the right direction. Losing 1.6 pounds is hardly a plateau! You are not going to keep losing at the same rate as the beginning. You should be very happy with 1 pound a week!
