I a new here and just starting this diet. I am fasting today.
I tried a few weeks ago to great effect at first, then the weight loss started to slow down, I went on holiday, and it all fell apart. But I think this website and blog will help me stay on track!
I only have a couple of kilos to lose, which may seem like nothing, but they mean a lot to me. They mean too much, in fact. I have been suffering from disordered eating (not quite an eating disorder!) and have eaten erratically for the past three years.
It started when I went on the Dukan diet. It worked extremely well for me, as I lost all the weight I wanted and more, but it made me very scared of eating carbs. Carbs also seem to hurt my stomach a lot, I fell bloated and uncomfortable, especially if I eat them in the evening. The result is that I am not eating enough of them, and therefore not digesting well.
Anyway, that was three years ago and the weight has crept back up. I know that I am much more muscly than a few years ago...

Losing 1.6 pounds is hardly a plateau! You are not going to keep losing at the same rate as the beginning. You should be very happy with 1 pound a week!

Yes, it is terribly dead here, especially lately. I think that people either just have all the information they need or have stopped this WOE. It is a shame. But stick around. It seems to go in waves....
