After my third fast, I have enjoyed two days of not worrying about counting calories. Before I started this diet I used to avoid bread, potatoes, pasta and sugar, but rather than deprive myself I have enjoyed eating mostly home cooked meals, including rice. I have tried to take this ethos into my eating days on this diet, but I have been pigging out slighly, but on good foods like fruit, olive oil, fish and a few lovely glasses of red wine. My only vice has been crisps, I love crisps and in Spain where I live the crisps are particularly lovely! So my fourth fast is tomorrow and after that I vow to give up crisps until I reach my ideal weight. Sugar has not been a problem, I can avoid sugar quite easily but I do overeat when it comes to fruit. So I should really be cutting down on the amount of fruit I eat. I have ordered something called Stevia, I have ordered the pure organic "green" stevia and I was going to make some lemonade using the lemons from our lemon grove. If...

Losing 1.6 pounds is hardly a plateau! You are not going to keep losing at the same rate as the beginning. You should be very happy with 1 pound a week!
