These blog entries are helpful - I have been feeling really despondent this week as well as very fat. I have just read back and my weight loss record is quite good. I thought I hadn't lost anything this week but the truth is that I have lost .5lb which, although is not 2lb, is better than nothing. I have lost six pounds over four weeks. I thought, because I was being so good, I would definitely lose two pounds a week and I have not. Last week although I kept off the alcohol and did 16:8 every day, I did eat quite a lot of ice cream. We had a Magnum every day for three or four days and on the days that I didn't I had ice cream out in restaurants. I did, however keep a rough tally of my calories on My Fitness Pal and don't think I really went over my TDEE. Still, the sugar made me feel bloated and not good.

Yesterday was mum's birthday and we had everyone over for a party. We had a lot of pastry and bread based food and a lot of puddings! I only ate a reasonable amount and, although...

Losing 1.6 pounds is hardly a plateau! You are not going to keep losing at the same rate as the beginning. You should be very happy with 1 pound a week!

Yes, it is terribly dead here, especially lately. I think that people either just have all the information they need or have stopped this WOE. It is a shame. But stick around. It seems to go in waves....
