First a confession – I am a repeat Weight Watcher. I believe in Weight Watchers, and I believe it can work if you follow the regime forever. However, I don’t. I get to goal, life takes over and I ping back up to where I started.

At the moment I don’t have the money, time or effort to commit to WWs which made me look for something new as the weight really does need to shift, and my life style is such now that WW can be too restrictive.

I like the science behind 5:2. It makes sense. It also makes sense in my life – control a couple of times a week I can manage. Control 24/7, I can’t.

So I have googled, I have read, I have searched, I have researched.

And despite all the evidence and publications I have decided to make up my rules and see how it goes. So this week I started my new regime – the 5:2 into a 3:4 combined with a 16:8 turned into a 14:10. Following?

Losing 1.6 pounds is hardly a plateau! You are not going to keep losing at the same rate as the beginning. You should be very happy with 1 pound a week!

Yes, it is terribly dead here, especially lately. I think that people either just have all the information they need or have stopped this WOE. It is a shame. But stick around. It seems to go in waves....
