The biggest perceived enemy we all have is our ability to seemingly sabotage any good intentions from within and in this blog I am hoping to share some thoughts that can help direct the unconscious in a more supportive way - as this is exactly what it is there for.
Our unconscious mind only has our best intentions at heart and will remind us of this at every opportunity it can. The downside is that it is incredibly poor at processing the word 'not'. If I said to you "do not think of a pink elephant with blue spots on it" - what has just popped in to your mind??? That's right - a pink elephant with blue spots on it. This is because the "not" part is ignored - like it always is. It is ignored in me, in you, and even in our children! (recall how many times you ask them "not" to do something and they go and do the very thing...)
Also imagine how difficult it would be to make a shopping list completely full of all the things that you don't want when you next go...

Losing 1.6 pounds is hardly a plateau! You are not going to keep losing at the same rate as the beginning. You should be very happy with 1 pound a week!
