I realised something the other day while talking to my mum. I had been out to lunch with friends, and was telling her what we had eaten, and she said something along the lines of how I wouldn't need to have more than a sandwich for dinner after all that food.
I realised that H2B and I ignore this common sense approach. Often, we will end up having two big meals a day at the weekend, and thinking back, 2 weeks ago we started the day with pancakes and bacon with maple syrup, then had a big lunch and made our own pizza for lunch. Not only was this a huge amount of food between 2 people, it was also so bread and flour based, it could not have done our nutrition much good.
When did this change happen? I've spoken to a few friends who live with their partners, and the feeling tends to be that while growing up, the rule was one main meal a day, no matter when that meal was. Guys were different, and felt that there should always be a substantial meal at night.
I can certainly trace the change...

Losing 1.6 pounds is hardly a plateau! You are not going to keep losing at the same rate as the beginning. You should be very happy with 1 pound a week!
