Day 10 Fast day

by jmousey on 25 Sep 2013, 10:13

Weight 8st 9.25

So that is a serious drop of .75lbs for me. It looks like I will hit my goal if only I wasn't going for thai food on Thurs night :-(. So what happened yesterday on my 12:8?

Basically at 6pm I ate for dinner the following:

omlette (3 eggs) with 5 baby tomatoes, 3 mushrooms and 50gms goats cheese.

My total calorie intake for the day was 1400 cals in the end. Well below my TDEE but gives me some extra for the weekend really. I had one problem yesterday - the tomatoes I ate appeared to have been gone off. It gave me a terrible pain in my tummy and I won't describe what happened. Lets just say I had to take two immodium before going running. I'm hoping my dramatic drop therefore is not a complete fluid drop. I did a 5mile run which went fine except that I felt so uncomfortable.

So today is a fast day its 11:05am but I'm feeling a little lethargic and slight sugar low. Not as bad as other days so I am definitely improving. Due to the fact that I am running later I am going to have some home made mushroom soup around 1pm (58 cals). This is the plan

8am-1pm, coffee with milk (2 tsps coconut oil) (70cals)
1pm: mushroom soup (58cals)
6pm: chicken thai curry left over (258) poppadom (40)
7pm: raisons 40gms (80)

It will be slighly over the 500 again but I have to fuel my run. Once again very few carbs. I am delighted with the new weight loss predictor that has been put in the forum. It states that on 5:2 alone with 1800 cals average on TDEE days, I should hit my initial 8st 2 weight by 29th November. I have actually inserted the weekly predictions of that calculator to compare my actual results. I expect to at least hit those results if not quicker because I am running the marathon and doing 16:8 3 days aswell. I'm actually hoping to hit 8st 2lbs in about 4 weeks instead of 7. fingers crossed!!!!

Once the marathon is over I intend to convert to liquid fasting probably 1 day a week initially and then 2 days. I don't intend to change eating 16:8 as I find if I eat after 8pm, I put up on the scales. If I don't eat after 6pm it seems to slowly downward trend.

So for yesterday I give it 7/10 - although my bout of food poisoning is my own fault. I will update on today after completion (tonight or tomorrow) although considering my drop in weight I'm pretty happy. A real achievment would be to lost another 3lbs between now and Sat week (I have a ball) but I'm not sure that's really possible. I would then like to 8st 4lb in 3 weeks as I have a wedding.
