Day 1 (5:2 day)

by jmousey on 17 Sep 2013, 12:38

Weight: 8st 12 lbs

Hello everyone, I decided to start a blog to keep me focussed and provide inspiration if I become successful. I have been on and off with 5:2. I have had success. I am 5 foot and quite petite. I currently weight 8st 12 and would like to get to 8st 2 or even lower. I have managed to hit 8st4lbs on this diet but fell off the band wagon. I'm just back from 10days hols so right back where I was when I started on this diet. I'm hoping it will come off quickly though.

Primarily I thought I would actually record what I am eating and the exercise I am putting in. My TDEE is 1800 which is quite high. The reason being that I am running 5 times a week for a marathon in 6 weeks. Otherwise my TDEE is a wofal 1400cals pd which is very low. I am sticking to 500 cals twice a week Monday & Wednesdays. Tues, Thurs & Fri I am doing a 16:8 of eating between 12-8pm.

So today is day 1 since hols. I have to say I'm pretty depressed at the thoughts of the day ahead. I have been up since 7am and am freezing. Today due to getting to work late, I am going to have to grab my 500 cals late at work. I am running 6miles around 7pm so need to get my food in before that or else I am eating to late. I have discovered that eating late(after about 630pm for me) creates stodge and stagnation. The only way weight has come off is to not eat anything after 630pm except for 4 boiled sweets!!!. Weird but it works. So today looks like this so far:

7am: coffee with skim milk
8am: coffee with skim milk
1030am: coffee with skim milk
11:30am coffee with skim milk
1pm: bovril

I intend to have another bovril and then Ill go to the shop and buy a salad of some sort with lots of protein. I had intended to have pork chop with some green veg but I won't be home on time to cook it now so salad it is.

Overall so far today I give it a 6/10. While I am not hungry (due to serious bloating), I am depressed and freezing. Hopefully tomorrow will be better on 16:8 especially if the scales has moved

I tip my hat to you
The reason being that I am running 5 times a week for a marathon in 6 weeks

I also find that exercising takes my mind of my hunger.

Good luck Jmousey. You don't have much to lose so it sounds like patience might be called for. Didn't think your fast day looked too bad at all actually, especially since you are a runner.
