Day 46 Liquid fast

by jmousey on 04 Nov 2013, 10:35

Weight- not known.

I'm not weighing in til Friday this week. I had such a bad week last week - I could only fit in 1 liquid fast, where I bloody consumed alcohol but still!!!. I think I just had a week of falling off the band wagon basically, but back to normal now until the xmas frenzy starts.

I am between a rock and a hard place though. I used to do 4:3 Mon, Wed & Fri. It meant that I could avoid the horror of a full 36 hours but often my social life meant I did more of a half fast on a Friday. It also meant that I had a good set up for the weekend. Anyone who reads my blog will know I really hate liquid fasts. Today is my 9th and while they are easier on my body mostly, I still hate them. The day just seems to stretch out ahead of me. I was considering doing a liquid monday and then 2 normal fasts on Wed & Thurs/Fri depending on social life. From a calorie point of view, I actually think I will end up eating less funnily enough but the question is the effect that solids food has on a fast. Now I could just have soup instead. Maybe I will play this ear and not be so regimental. I have of course reached a plateau - the usual one. I can't seem to get below the 8st 5 and it's always here I fall off the wagon so I'm determined to do 2 good weeks this week. This would mean either 2 liquid fasts MOn & Thurs OR , LIQUID today, and 500 wed and thurs. I can't do fri as I have a party. I do remember before though that 2 days of 500 was tough. I really don't know what to do - maybe I don't plan - maybe I see how I feel on the day as I am joining a new running club wed so will need some sustenance.

One thing I can assure you of - no carbs have returned for the next 2 weeks with 1 day off. This might kickstart the weight loss again.I have used the fantastic calculator http://insightmaker.com/insight/9320 made for this site. And it shows that I would hit my goal of 8st3 2 weeks earlier. With moderate exercise 3-5 days a week, I would be due to hit 8st 3lbs in 3 weeks in time for my bday so I think I am now changing my fasting to 4:3 with 1 liquid fast. I think I will deal with fast days better anyway if I can eat something.

So now, I need to make carb free bread using my flaxseed. So today is the only liquid fast and I have to say I already feel light and better in my mind so this decision must be good.

I estimate I weigh about 8st 6lbs as the scales said 8st 10 but I'm wearing pj's and I'm always about 4lbs heavier on Mondays!!!.

So it is a new beginning and I'm feeling motivated. I'm not at all hungry due to the pigging out of takeaway last night so today will be easy. I will also do a run walk with my dogs later as I need to do 5 days exercise a week
