Day 60 Fast Day

by jmousey on 19 Nov 2013, 09:49

Weight: 8st 6.5 lbs

Very disappointed with the above weight. So I am weighing myself in real time -today is a fast day and I weighed myself this morning. Now I was using my mums scales as I stayed in hers last night. This morning was the first morning I have not felt bloated in a week so gastritis is obviously on the mend. However, I really thought I would be under the 8st5 when the bloating went down considering how little I ate last week. But no, I ended up no where. And I still have the pudgy belly so I know it's real. When I hit 8st 4&3 my belly goes flat but I still have a little roll of fat. My predicter said I would hit 8st 2 this week but I'm still 4lbs off. I had really wanted this for my birthday. I suppose my official weigh in is not til Friday and with 2 more fasts I might hit under 8st 5 but I had wanted a buffer of 8st 3 for the weekend ahead of glorious celebratory birthday food. Won't happen now I suppose. Although after this weekend I have set myself a challenge -27days til I have my next glass of alcohol. This is to help me get off my plateau and as you all know - change my relatinoship with alcohol. I have a number of social events in this time so it will be great challenge. I hope to lose quite a bit over those 4 weeks - 4lbs would be great. So if I hit 8st 4 Friday, then I have the bloating weekend but I'd have 4weeks of no alcohol so that will help loads. It has to.

Yesterdays fast day looked like this in the end

1pm Butternut Squash casserole( 234), 2peanutbutter cookies (106)
Quark (84)
6pm: licorice (100)
That gives a total of 525 cals and 54g carbs. The licorice was a killer but I had tried to have a cup of tea which hurt my stomach so I had licorice as it is supposed to be good for it. wasn't particularly hungry going to bed.

So today I feel fine but it's only 10am and my stomach is definitely got that pulled in, no food feeling. I can't have coffee or tea due to their caffeine content while my stomach healing. So the only thing I can have is herbal tea - my current fave is ginger and black pepper. I'm looking forward to Friday -I'm going to hopefully have a chai tea from Insomnia. Its a test aswell to see how mystomach reacts. Anyway, I'm hoping today goes well as I'm a little disappointed but I'm keeping cheerful by the fact that I know I have 4 weeks coming up where it should be easy to be careful at weekends as OH is away and I'm running 10k's so need to eat healthly and well
