Day 22 Feed day but 16:8

by jmousey on 13 May 2014, 04:03

Epic fail yetserday. I figured a trigger- my mum pushing food on me. It wasn't a complete failure by any means. I didn't eat until dinner time and then I ate as follows:

morning: coffee and bovril (30 cals)
dinner: 3 slices brown bread (240) with blue cheese and butter (90)

5 crispello sweets (280)

Total cals about 700 so not too far above a fast day. As a result though I'm going to try and do a second 1/2 fast today. My weekend will be a disaster of 2300 cals fri, sat and sun. If I want a mean average of 1300 (just for this week with all the travelling) then I'd need an average of only 600 per day all week. I don't really think that is feasible when I'm away with all the temptation. Perhaps I should just aim for maintenance and no loss this week - that would be average around 1600 - if I have 1000 cals today, 1200 wed, 1200 thurs, 2000 fri, 2500 Sat, 2500 Sun - that gives an average of 1600 which wouldn't be the worst. I'm going to aim to have as little as possible during the day...

Day 21 Liquid Fast

by jmousey on 12 May 2014, 09:42

Weight: no idea

Sat Day 19 Feed Day

I never update these things on the weekend. I'm always so busy and tend to not thing about it as I've taken the day off. Saturday I went for a 52km cycle and it nearly killed me after cycling Friday. I was actually fairly healthy Sat but did have heavy calories. My day looked like this:

Bfast: oat granola (220), cheesy puffs(110)
Lunch: brown bread sambo with cheese and chicken (510)
Dinner: Balti Chicken curry with rice and naan, (569), bottle wine (500)
Snacks: Pringles (300

Total 2199 but I burned a good bit cycling. All homemade food which is good though

[Sunday Day 20 Feed Day]

Not a good - I had all the best intentions of no takeaway. It went like this:

bfast: mini bagel (100), 3 sausages (150), goats cheese (100)
Lunch: baked potato (200), baked beans (60), butter (100), pringles (150)
Dinner: Thai red curry takeaway with fried rice and prawn...

Day 18 16:8

by jmousey on 09 May 2014, 07:12

Weight 8st 13.25

REMAIN POSITIVE. I can't have expected to just fall to 8st 10 in one week. My liquid fast yesterday wasn't great. The bulk of what I ate was liquid - I think I had about 400 cals or. I had tea all day and then at lunch time I had soup. It was when I got home that I gave into temptation. As you know, I had another pack of soup just in case. HOwever, my OH arrived home with my favourite crisps (Hunky Dory Cheese and Onion). I felt obliged to open them so as not to offend him. However, I exercised great willpower by only eating a couple and then rolling the bag away for tomorrow. One thing that helped was reading MIMI SPENCERS new book. I was just on the part which was telling me not to give into temptation on fast days and to think in just under 12 hours I can eat something. She was extolling the virtues of creating the habit of saying no and being really strict on fast days - something which I have become quite complacent about. Therefore I put this in my mind and put them...

Day 17 Liquid fast day

by jmousey on 08 May 2014, 09:39

Weight 8st 13.75

Not surprising. I did stick to my 16:8 although it was hard. Ddin't eat til 12 but I had a very carby day to be honest and I need to make a batch of coconut bread this weekend to curb those carbs. I had hoped to be under 1000cals yesterday but ended up eating out for dinner so it was scuppered.

I ended up having the following:

12pm: slimbo & butter(150)
130pm: 2slimbos & butter (300), crips (125), 2 biscuits (90)
4pm: 3 bourbon biscuits (200)
7pm: small cheese plate (500 ....I have no idea), french fries (400), 2 wines (250)

Total: 1640- not the worst but defo need to fast today now. I also got no exercise in. I've been dying with a cold the last couple days but today I really feel rotten. Quite chesty, cold miserable and as if I was out on the tear last night although I defo wasn't.

I am trying to liquid fast to kickstart everything but I'm not down to 0cals at all. Today I have 2 packs of knorr chicken soup to try shift my cold. If I eat 1 pack it is 260cals...

Day 16: 16:8/feed day

by jmousey on 07 May 2014, 08:39

weight 8st 12.25

Ok not so bad as I expected.Long way to go. So yesterday was my first liquid fast and it was pretty successful. I stuck to tea, coffee and oxtail soup until 6pm. At 6pm I cooked OH's dinner. I was going running at 730pm with my tri club so I had about 50g of rice (proba n overestimate. I was starving too. I defo had under 150 cals yesterday anyway.

I did an hours running class and I have to say that was tough. I really felt having nothing in my system. However, I intend that my fast days will Mon and Thurs (liquid fasts) so I shouldn't have too much on those days or I will make it my business not to anyway. I think 2 days is much more manegable with my calendar than 3 days.

I am trying to do a 16:8 today so have yet to eat. I am trying to hold off until 11am which is 90 mins away. I'm pretty hungry but in some ways I'm afraid the hunger switch will go off too.

Anyway, the aim is to have the following:

11am: slimbo with butter (150)
1pm: 2 slimbo's with butter (300),...
