My Intermittent Fasting Journey

My progress on Intermittent Fasting will be posted here with updates on my weight being posted daily, and with updates on my waist size and body fat content being posted on a weekly basis on a Monday. My weigh-in day was a Monday but I will now be weighing in every day in order to keep everything on track, and I now fast on a Monday on most weeks (although that will often change depending upon my circumstances at that time). More information about my weight loss background and my goals for the future on intermittent fasting can be found on my first forum posting which can be seen by clicking here.

Blood Pressure Readings:- No Data

When I woke up yesterday morning, I felt a bit depressed after some yet more high blood pressure readings and because of that, I decided to take a complete break from taking these readings for now. Because of that, there are no such readings to show in this report which is probably just as well because I would have expected these results to be even higher as a result of yesterday's fasting day.

Anyway, the fact that I was a bit down and depressed yesterday meant that I wasn't really feeling like going through with yesterday's fasting day. Furthermore, I was also feeling a bit hungry yesterday morning, making me realise that I was going to be in for a very difficult day ahead. At that point, I drank some water to quell that 'hunger' and I was fortunate that I had my step class to make my mind off that a bit.

That step class went very well and when I arrived home from that, the hunger had mostly gone. However, I had my lunch just after 12 noon which consisted of a couple of scrambled eggs and two pieces of ham. Yesterday afternoon, I didn't feel quite as tired as what I felt on the previous day and was able to do a little bit of programming work on my computer.

For my evening meal, I then had a pork chop with some salad and my intake of liquids during yesterday consisted of some water and a few cups of green tea. My sleeping pattern went very well last night. I got to sleep quite quickly after 11pm and I only got up a couple of times to go to the toilet before getting up just before 6am this morning.

When I weighed myself this morning, my weight came in at 71.9kg which is 1.2kg down on yesterday's value. However, that is a fasting weight which I'm therefore, a little bit disappointed with because my weight hasn't come down as much with yesterday's fasting day, as it did after my first fasting day on Monday. Consequently, the figures for my weight this morning aren't quite as good as what they were on Tuesday and so with three successive feeding days to come that will see me over the weekend, that isn't filling me with any great confidence for my next weekly 'official' weigh-in on Monday.

Consequently, I am now expecting that weigh-in to show at least a slight overall weekly weight gain from last Monday. That in turn, is further endorsing my decision to stick with my 16:8 routine for the rest of this week in order to minimise that weight gain which I suppose, is only going to be inevitable anyway, given that this has been a transition week from 4:3 back to 5:2.
