My Intermittent Fasting Journey

My progress on Intermittent Fasting will be posted here with updates on my weight being posted daily, and with updates on my waist size and body fat content being posted on a weekly basis on a Monday. My weigh-in day was a Monday but I will now be weighing in every day in order to keep everything on track, and I now fast on a Monday on most weeks (although that will often change depending upon my circumstances at that time). Day 92 - Fasting Day 27

One of the good things about not taking an extra fasting yesterday in order to get over the over-indulgences of both Friday and Saturday, is that I can now do my normal fasts both yesterday and on Thursday. Indeed, I then took full advantage of that by doing my normal fasting day yesterday, although that does mean that I have now had two successive days where my calorie intake has been very low.

As far as my exercise goes, I didn't mention in my last blog entry that I had my gym session on Sunday. That indeed was the case, but the fact that my weight had recently been increasing on those days where I have had some good gym sessions, meant that the motivation for a good gym session just wasn't there on Sunday. My performance at the gym that day, then suffered as a result of that.

Yesterday brought a much lighter calorie burn in terms of my exercise regime, but it brought my Aquafit class and I have to say that I still felt a bit tired towards the end of that. In terms of my food intake, I once again had a couple of slices of cold meat with some scrambled eggs for lunch, followed by a pork steak and salad as my evening meal. However, the two back to back days of very low calorie intake have taken a hold on my sleeping pattern, and I have struggled to get any sort of sleep overnight.

That means that I am going to feel very tired later on today. Nevertheless, this morning's weigh-in has shown that I have lost another 1.8kg since this time yesterday, which means that my weight is now standing at 71.7kg. However, that is not a record low weight and I still running at a 0.3kg overall weight gain from the same time last week. That means that I will need to curtail my food intake a bit on my feeding days if I am to turn that overall weight gain into an overall weight loss by my next official weekly weigh-in next Monday.

That is further shown by the fact that the trend line for my weight in Libra is now currently showing an upward trend as a result of what happened with my weight over the weekend. So, that brings me into another feeding day, but it is very cold and frosty outside this morning and that is going to make it difficult for me to hold out until lunchtime if I decide to do a 16:8 day, which never really worked for me anyway on either Friday or Saturday.

I could decide to quell that hunger by eating a good breakfast, and abandoning any plans for a 16:8 day which would involve me skipping breakfast. However, that would mean that I would then need to skip either my lunch or my evening meal if I am to avoid any sort of sizeable weight gain by tomorrow morning, and that could prove to be even more difficult. That means that I am going to be in for a very interesting (and probably difficult) day ahead, regardless of how I tackle it.
