My Intermittent Fasting Journey

My progress on Intermittent Fasting will be posted here with updates on my weight being posted daily, and with updates on my waist size and body fat content being posted on a weekly basis on a Monday. My weigh-in day was a Monday but I will now be weighing in every day in order to keep everything on track, and I now fast on a Monday on most weeks (although that will often change depending upon my circumstances at that time). More information about my weight loss background and my goals for the future on intermittent fasting can be found on my first forum posting which can be seen by clicking here.

My Festive Message

by johncs2013 on 23 Dec 2013, 08:36

Current Actual Weight: 68.5kg (10 stone 11 pounds)
Current Trend Weight: 70.4kg (11 stone 1 pound)

Waist Size: 29.8 inches (down by 0.8 inches from this time last week)
Body Fat Percentage: 11.29% (down by 0.98% from this time last week)

As I am about to travel for my Christmas ventures, I don't have time to give my usual detailed account of my my current progress both here and on the weight maintenance section of this forum and so here is a brief summary.

Yesterday was a fasting day which was my last fasting day of 2013, and which completed my first 5:2 week since my switch to weight maintenance and a general 6:1 regime. Today, I lost 0.7kg since this time yesterday which is my smallest weight loss so far to come with a fasting day. That is probably because I went into that at such a low weight to begin with and in fact, there has been weight losses during the last week which have came after a feeding day, which have actually been bigger than that. However, that is still a substantial weight loss.

The end result is that I have ended up beating my all time records my lowest ever weight, waist size and body fat content. My highest weight of the week was the 72.1kg which I recorded a week ago, and the lowest weight of the week is what I have just recorded this morning. My blood pressure is up slightly but then, this is only my first such measurement after a fasting day when my blood pressure normally goes up a bit anyway. Overall, I am really happy about that.

In the meantime, I will now be taking a break from this WOL and so, there will be no more weigh-ins or fasting days until Monday 6 January 2014 which will be my next fasting day, and the first one of 2014. If I have a chance to do so, I might check with the forum every now and then to see how everyone is getting on but in the meantime, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you (low carbers or not) as very merry Christmas and happy New Year.
