Tired as

by mia87 on 16 Apr 2014, 22:36

Yesterday was a fast day. And it was a hard one! Mainly at night, trying to get off to sleep. My mind just wouldn't stop. I was thinking about weight loss, clothing size, what we were going to do over the next few days (holidays) and cookies. For some reason I kept thinking about cookies! I don't even really like cookies, except to dunk in coffee. I went to bed around 11.30pm, think I fell asleep around 1.30am, hubby came home and woke me at 2.30am then I tossed and turned for another hour. I got up and had a cup of milk, which I'd been holding out on as I usually have yoghurt but neither really help. Anyway, I'm up at 7am to get ready to head into the city for the next couple of days. I will be driving as hubby has had even less sleep having just come of night shift.

This is the earliest I've eaten after a fast before. I wasn't feeling great and we're likely to have McDonalds breakfast before our three hour drive. I really didn't want to have that massive shock to the system in fats and oils on the road. So I've had a slice of toast with peanut butter and dairy spread and downing a strong coffee. Also a vitamin B tablet. And hayfever, yays!

Good low weight today though, 86.8kg, though I'm sure I'll make up for that over the next few. This will be a pretty good test of the 5:2 method.

Easter soon...

just read all your blog, Mia. It's great. I hope you keep writing it. It inspires me to want to add something to mine. You'll certainly get to size 16 and below. The more weight you have to lose, the faster you lose it. Have a good Easter and enjoy camping. I'm doing kind of camping - staying in cabins but. Lots of good food packed. I'm fasting today and I think 1. that it's really important to have yummy food on fast days and 2. I like to watch cooking shows, read recipe books etc on fast days, even cook, because it gives me - what's the word? when you get pleasure from someone else's experiences even though you can't have that experience your self - like armchair travelling.

Armchair travelling! That is a brilliant way to explain it!! And thank you for your encouragement, it is really lovely to read. I love getting gems from those who have been doing this way of life long enough that it just seems to flow naturally. I have also been reading through your blog entries; it really is a great thing for us noobs to see how this WOL works long term. To be able to look back on someone who's been doing it for 12mths + and see that they had the same feelings, worries, thoughts and yet are still continuing! Thank your for your contribution to my journey :)
