Raw Karen's Blog

Day 111, Fast 37

by rawkaren on 09 Dec 2013, 08:27

I'd like to do a liquid fast today. I last fasted on Thursday and I feel like there is a fair amount of repairing to do.

The Christmas mood has broken out early. Neighbour turned up with a tree yesterday. He was rewarded with a G&T, so we all had one which later turned into a spectacular display of boozelimia that evening, amounting to a 2234 calorie Sunday :curse: Well at least I counted everything.

Carbs 23% 105g
Fat 58% 114g
Protein 18% 82g

Breakfast was scrambled egg on paleo sandwich bread. Lunch a small piece of cod loin with a home made pea veloute. This was an easy dish I picked up on holiday this year. Lemongrass is steeped in coconut milk (warmed) and then the infusion gets blended with garden peas. The consistency is slightly looser than a dip and it goes really well with the cod. I had a home made low carb cranberry muffin with a cup of tea afterward.

So far so good.

When neighbour turned up, out came the G&T (or vodka in my case), along with almonds and walnuts, cheese and a small hairy dieters low fat tea loaf. I know that the nuts alone were 350 cals because I measured them out yesterday morning as I was considering making something called oatless oatmeal, but thought better of it when I added up that a portion was 550 calories. At least they were raw and unsalted and full of good fats.

Again Jawbone calculated exercise and steps at 498 cals which seems a bit high to me. I have noticed that increased steps bumps things up quite a bit. Plyometrics yesterday. Felt tough though.

Travel week this week. Work Tues to Thurs so back home Friday pm. Hosting a house party on Sunday coming and then a girly night out week next Tuesday. Then I only have 18/19 as work days and then Christmas can begin.
