Great to see the old (less of the old) Karen back. Question. How Do you measure Ketosis? I ask as I can taste it, have used urine dipstix to prove it, but what do you do? It does take me a while to get into Ketosis too.

I use the ketostix Caroline. Not sure how reliable they are, but I know its working as I have not been as hungry today!

Day 182
by rawkaren on 18 Feb 2014, 15:57
So this morning I decided to prolong the fat burning by having a bulletproof coffee for breakfast. I have not had one for a couple of weeks. I dropped it once I fell off the low carb wagon as I did not want the combo of fat and sugar to cause weight gain. It felt like a lovely treat and I tried it with the nespresso capsule that has a hint of chocolate flavour to it, so it was nice and creamy.
Today I have bought food into work. It looks like this:
One young fresh coconut. I will eat the meat as well as the water.
WF Hawaiian pear and kale juice, unpasturised. Not sure about the cal and carb content of this as it doesn't say on the carton, so I have taken the nutritional content from something similar.
Slice of paleo bread spread with coconut oil
Roasted seaweed snack.
Taking into account the bulletproof, I will be up to around 800 calories for the day which gives me room for a light supper. However that takes me to 72g of carbs already so it needs to be a zero carb supper.
